Kaksi intohimoista ja innokasta tuulentutkijaa, Vimma ja Vaime, haluavat tallentaa tuulikoneeseensa erilaisia boforeita, tuulia, viimoja ja tuiskuja. Tuulien nappaaminen on haasteellista työtä ja se vaatii tutkijoiden oveluutta, nerokasta yhteistyötä, akrobaattista ketteryyttä sekä pitkiä hermoja ja kärsivällisyyttä. Viima on valittu vuoden 2022 ITU-teokseksi kiertämään mm. Suomen lastenkulttuurikeskuksia. Viima-teos on vuorosanaton ja sopii kaikille lapsille kielestä riippumatta. Muusikko, Tatu Kantomaan, Viima-teokselle säveltämä haitarimusiikki rytmittää ja värittää esityksen tunnelmaa. Viima on Piste Kollektiivin tuotanto ja teoksen kiertuetta tukee Varsinais-Suomessa sekä Satakunnassa Taiteen edistämiskeskus.

Viima – What’s in the Wind Today?

Two passionate and excited wind seekers, Vimma (Frenzy) and Vaime (Feeble), are looking for all different kinds of winds, breezes, breaths, and puffs – even hurricanes – to save into their wind apparatus. Catching the winds is hard work and requires Frenzy and Feeble to be clever and crafty, witty and wise. To succeed they need to work together and keep their cool, and a little acrobatic agility never hurt nobody!
Viima – What’s in the Wind Today? is a mix of circus and theatre directed towards children between ages 4 and 10. The performance takes place outdoors lasting approximately 35 minutes. If needed, the show can be adapted to an indoor setting. In 2022, Viima was chosen as the children’s theatre performance of the year by ITU.
